Cracking CA CPT Exam in One Month

About CA CPT Preparation & Cracking Tips –

With the increasing number of students choosing Charted Accountancy as a career option and increasing demands of quality in Industry, ICAI has lowered the results once again and CA as a career option has become a bit tougher than it was in the recent past. But that should not serve as a reason for disappointment or for loss of hope, instead it must serve as a motivational factor that should make you only more determined than you were.

With only a few days left for the CA CPT exam, there isn’t much you can do if you have not prepared for it already. However not all hope is lost, with a good plan and back breaking efforts, you can still make it through the first step of your CA goal.

List of Tips for Cracking CA CPT Entrance Exam Just in One Month

  • Strategy

The single most important thing that determines your winning and losing, be it anything- a cricket or a chess game, an intellectual or a business venture or CA CPT. Strategy is the thing that led Alexander won his initial battles despite having an outnumbered and outgunned army.
  1. Spread out the complete syllabus that’s covered under the exam, mark the topics that you already know and give them a rating.
  2. Now take out previous year sample papers and divide your complete syllabus by the weightage given to each topic in exam and give them a rating based on it.
  3. Compare the two fields that you have created and calculate the estimate score that you have already prepared. To successfully clear the exam you must score a minimum of 100 marks.
  4. Congratulations, you have successfully completed the first stage of your master plan! You now know which areas you have already won, ‘the points of vulnerabilities’ (or rather the topics that are scoring and easy) and the tough spots ( areas that are either tough and scoring or time consuming and low scoring).
  5. Since you are already running short on time, you can’t afford to waste your resources on the ‘tough spots’, instead focus your energies on the ‘points of vulnerabilities’.
  6. Winning a battle ground and not flagging it as your own is a waste of time and resources, the same goes for studying. You have to practice what you have learned else it would of no use.
  7. Always remember to make concise notes that will help you in revisions late on.
  • Revision

Now that you have prepared all that you could, mark the last week as ‘revision time’ and make sure you work only on revision and not on new learning. If something very important comes up that you might have skipped in the earlier stages, do it but don’t spend too much time on it.
  • The final battle call

Everything that could be done has been done. For the last two days before exam, just quickly revise whatever that you have learnt and solve as many as mock tests and previous year question papers that you can. And try not to take too much stress, believe in yourself and the intelligent hard work that you have out.
